Too many information silos

Managing business information is more complex than ever. The amount of data is exploding, and it's often scattered across a variety of different systems, including shared drives, SharePoint, email, file sharing services, ECM and Content Services platforms, CRM, ERP and more, making it hard to find and control. Multiple different interfaces to learn slow down user adoption and decrease productivity. In short, today's business information environment is chaotic, complicated and a drain on IT resources.



Another repository isn't the answer

Businesses often already have multiple systems and repositories -- everything from shared network folders to full ECM systems, such as OpenText or Documentum, to new file sharing services like Box and Dropbox. Some are on-premises and some are in the cloud. The larger the company, the more complex it gets. Adding yet another repository can actually make it worse.
